Who looks after the everyday person ?

Whilst walking the dog today i came across a box van that was parked so badly i felt the need to photograph it, now this isn’t something i would normally do but the parking was so bad i felt it needed highlighting. i wouldn’t have posted the picture online as i don’t have the techy skills to pixilate the number plate but the picture was poor enough quality that the number plate wasn’t visible  . so i have posted via Twitter

Now the said van was parked with all four wheels on the pavement approx gap between van and fence was 3-4 ft  not measured. i could as a wheelchair pusher only imagine the struggle getting through the same could be said for a young mum pushing her children in a buggy . i struggle to comprehend why a driver of any vehicle would feel compelled to park in such a way,i also struggle to comprehend who is responsible for dealing with this form of Anti social behaviour.

I wouldn’t call the police as this seems a minor matter , however im led to believe that  such parking is prohibited in the highway code. Is it a Road traffic violation and should the police be involved . or is it a local council issue ?

So from this day i will making concerted efforts to free the pavements of illegally parked vehicles,i shall also be reporting dangerous road surfaces such as potholes etc

And pedestrian pathways that are deemed dangerous such as tree root damage and paving slab trip hazards

Why should people who use the highways and byways suffer in silence
